SEMA Show, Day One: General Grabber HTS borrows from its racing counterparts

Oct. 31, 2007

Continental Tire North America will complete its General Grabber light truck and SUV tire line with the introduction of the Grabber HTS in the second quarter of 2008.

Although the replacement tire's highway tread differs from the company's Grabber competiton tires (see "SEMA Show, Day Two: New General Grabber will compete off-road"), it borrows compounding and tire development techniques learned from manufacturing the competition tires.

The HTS will complete the General Grabber line, which also includes the Grabber AT2 and Grabber UHP tires. According to Director of Marketing Traffis Roffler, the company will replace the AT2 with a next-generation tire within the next two years.
