The Rubber Manufacturers Association has elected Jim MacMaster, excecutive vice president, business division, for Yokohama Tire Corp., as chairman of its board of directors. He succeeds Mark Emkes, chairman and CEO of Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc.
MacMaster joined Yokohama in 1981 as a territory maanger. Since then, he has held various positions, including division manager, director of sales, director of marketing, and vice president of the company’s commercial division. Prior to joining Yokohama, he worked for Dunlop Tire and United Tire.
"A strong trade association is crucial to the tire industry’s ability to foster a cooperative, consensus approach to public policy challenges," says MacMaster.
