Bridgestone Corp. recently opened its fifth aircraft tire retreading plant, a facility in Qingdao, China.
"Demand for aircraft tires is growing, particularly in China, where economic development has spurred rapid growth in the number of air travelers and aircrafts," say Bridgestone officials.
Bridgestone's other aircraft tire retread plants are in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and Belgium.
