Michelin gives 'sustainable development' update

June 26, 2007

Groupe Michelin has published the third edition of its Michelin Performance and Responsibility report, which details Michelin's 2005 and 2006 performance in deploying its "sustainable development" strategy.

"Launched in 2002, this approach... is based on five key corporate values: respect for customers, respect for people, respect for shareholders, respect for the environment and respect for facts."

Michelin publishes a complete version of the report every two years and "a summary update of changes in key indicators in alternate years," say Michelin officials.

This year's report also devotes a special section to Michelin Fleet Solutions, an integrated tire management service for large European and North American trucking companies that invoices customers on the number of kilometers or miles they drive.
