Bridgestone shuffles management in Tokyo

Bridgestone Corp. has approved a number of upper-level management changes, including the elevation of Hideo "Hank" Hara to vice president of original equipment tire sales.

Hara currently serves as vice president and officer of original equipment tire sales and motorsports.

In other moves, Akira Nozawa has been named vice president and chief financial officer of finance, plus IT and network and Hideki Yokoyama will be Bridgestone's vice president of quality.

In addition, Hiroshi Yamaguchi become vice president of safety and environment, and also motorsports, while Mikio Masunaga becomes vice president of tire research and material development.

The job changes are effective July 1, say Bridgestone officials.
