Bridgestone Firestone Canada Inc. will raise prices on its Bridgestone, Firestone, Fuzion and associate brand tires on June 1.
Hikes will total up to 5% on passenger, light truck, farm and OTRtires, with possible specific in-line adjustments in excess of 5%.
"As we have seen in our other business units, the continuing upward spiral of raw material costs can not be managed through the enhanced efficiencies and increased productivity that we are continually implementing at all levels of our companies," says Asahiko "Duke" Nishiyama, vice chairman and president of Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc.
"As a result, Bridgestone Firestone Canada has no choice but to implement this price increase."
