The Modern Tire Dealer Facts Issue adds a new wrinkle to its domestic tire industry overview this year.
It not only shows 2006 statistical trends and analyzes them, but also looks at 2007 and beyond. For example, the most popular original equipment passenger and light truck tire sizes for both 2005 and 2004 are listed. That gives you the opportunity to forecast the sizes you will see in your bays this year and next year.
As always, we get a little help from analyst Saul Ludwig, a managing director with KeyBanc Capital Markets. He classified 2006 as "a tumultuous year," but sees replacement shipments up in 2007.
