Discount Tire has opened a store in Omaha, Neb. It is the company’s second outlet in the city.
The 6,947-square-foot store will operate with 13 employees, four of whom are new to Discount Tire. The store expects to add additional positions as business levels grow.
“We are proud to expand in this community and provide our customers a needed service for tires in Omaha, Neb., as well as lend expert advice on tires and tire safety,” says Phil Burch, store manager. He has been with the company for 17 years.
“Based on the market size and demographics of the area, Omaha is a perfect fit for Discount Tire," says Rob Wise, regional vice president. "As we expand our presence in the Heartland region, we are always growing and seeking opportunities to serve communities like Omaha.”
Discount Tire operates more than 875 stores in 28 states. The company is based in Scottsdale, Ariz.., and does business under the trade name Discount Tire in most of the U.S. and America’s Tire in Oregon, and parts of Washington and California.
Discount Tire, which is part of the Reinalt-Thomas Corp., ranks No. 1 on the 2013 MTD 100.
