Mitas will supply combine, tractor tires to Claas

Dec. 12, 2013

Mitas a.s., the Czech Republic-based parent company of Mitas Tires North America Inc., announced that it has entered into a long-term agreement with agricultural machinery manufacturer Claas KGaA mbH where Mitas will supply Continental and Mitas branded farm tires for Claas combines and tractors.

“Our cooperation with Claas is excellent. We are continuing our collaboration, which dates back to 2004, when Mitas acquired the Continental farm tire manufacturing division,” says Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ Marketing and Sales director.

“One of the proof points is the supplier award from 2011, when Claas awarded Mitas as Supplier of the Year for Innovation for Mitas’ CHO tire.”

Today Claas uses Mitas manufactured Continental and Mitas branded farm tires in its plants for combines, tractors and forage harvesters in the U.S., Germany, France and Russia. In recent years, Mitas has become one of the major tire suppliers of Claas globally.

Mitas says the main purpose of the agreement is the optimization of the manufacturing and logistic delivery procedures of Mitas tires to individual companies in the Claas group.

“Our aim is to achieve the greatest possible satisfaction of Claas and their customers,” says Jens Steinhardt, Mitas’ Key Account manager.
