Michelin debuts Uniroyal Laredo AWT II

June 30, 2008

Michelin North America Inc. has introduced the Uniroyal Laredo AWT II light truck/SUV all-terrain tire.

The tire offers improved tread life and wet and dry handling compared to the original Laredo AWT, the company says, due to its advanced polymer tread compound, stress-optimized contact patch and DuraShield construction.

The Laredo AWT II will be available for delivery after July 1. It will be available in 21 sizes, including 13 P-metric S-speed-rated and eight LT metric Q-speed-rated sizes.

“The AWT II is Uniroyal's most rugged tire yet, providing outstanding performance and durability for the light truck and SUV consumer,” says Joe Mazur, Uniroyal brand category manager. "Adding the tire to the Laredo line-up will provide even more options for value-driven consumers looking for exceptional quality tires at competitive prices.”
