TireWare launches MyTireMonkey.com Web site

June 28, 2008

TireWare Inc. has created a Web site to help consumers price, locate and order new tires, as well as arrange for their installation with local dealers.

Called MyTireMonkey.com, the site is designed to be "an online marketplace that allows quoting and ordering of tires directly out of a dealer's inventory at each store location," according to the company.

TireWare developed MyTireMonkey as an extension of its online POS solution. Dealers may subscribe to MyTireMonkey whether or not they are a current TireWare POS customer.

"The majority of independent dealers are not attracting 'Internet' consumers," says CEO and President Tully Ryan. "Every day, they are facing increased competition from car dealerships, big box retailers and Internet wholesalers.

"The Internet wholesalers are diminishing dealers' involvement with consumers to be strictly tire installers. We decided to help independent dealers be more competitive over the Internet."

While the service costs the consumer nothing, dealers are charged a small monthly subscription fee. For more information, visit www.mytiremonkey.com.
