June 17, 2008

Falken Tire Corp. (FTC) has promoted Bruce Ware to vice president of North American sales. Ware was formerly executive director of corporate accounts.

"Bruce has demonstrated the leadership qualities necessary to direct the FTC sales organization through its next phase of very aggressive growth in North America," says Richard Smallwood, president and chief operating officer.

"In today's challenging business environment, you have to have a united team dedicated to the success of the company and its stakeholders. I have absolute confidence in Bruce's abilities to lead the company and its stakeholders to even greater heights of success."

Falken also announced the retirement of John McAndrew, who served as director of wholesale channel sales for the last two years.

"Nearly 20 years ago, John gave me my first sales opportunity in the tire industry, and I am grateful that I got to work with him one last time before he marched off into retirement," says Smallwood. "During his tenure at FTC, John served as an outstanding mentor and leader to the sales organization, and was responsible for FTC's strongest period of growth in the identifying and signing of quality new wholesale customers."
