Michelin North America Inc. has been presented the Best Value Medal Award from the United States military for product quality and delivery.
The military, through its Defense Supply Center Richmond, awards the medal to vendors who have demonstrated exceptional quality and delivery performance, say Michelin officials.
Michelin scored 99.4 out of 100 on the military's computerized system that collects a vendor’s past performance data.
Michelin says it is exceeding the delivery requirements set by the military and is averaging 98.3% on-time delivery while delivering tires around the world, including the current theatres of operations.
