Falken ramps up social networking efforts

Falken Tire Corp. has launched its social media marketing efforts by establishing a presence on both Facebook and Twitter.

The company's goal is to reach "already-dedicated Falken fans and educate and inspire them to spread the word about the Falken brand virally," say Falken officials.

Facebook users can become Falken "fans" and receive up-to-the-minute information from the firm, including photos and videos.

"This is the beginning of a new marketing strategy for Falken in 2010, combining print, Web and video to educate customers on all the ways 'We Get You Going,'" Falken's new corporate slogan.
