Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has hired Pittsburgh, Pa.-based MARC USA to handle its advertising and Tallahassee, Fla.-based The Zimmerman Agency to handle its public relations and social media efforts.
"MARC USA will provide strategic direction regarding advertising, creative, media buying and planning, as well as consumer and dealer campaigns and promotions," say Cooper officials. MARC USA clients include Rite Aid Pharmacies, True Value Hardware, Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems and others.
"The Zimmerman Agency's PR and interactive group... has an impressive understanding of public relations and social marketing. They have an exceptional resume of previous experience, including well-known brands such as Aflac, Dell, Ritz-Carlton Destination Clubs, PGA Tour, Firehouse Subs, Party City and Nature's Own."
Cooper officials expect the agencies "to complete their orientation to Cooper during the fourth quarter 2009 for immediate impact in 2010."
