Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has added the Hercules Roadtour 655 to its line of touring tires.
The Roadtour 655 will be available in "high volume" H- and T-rated fitments. Additional H- and V-rated fitments will be available in the future.
The tire contains computer-optimized tread for noise and vibration reduction; a nylon overwrap for extra stability and longevity; and other features, according to Hercules officials.
The Roadtour 655 also features a distinct sidewall design, which includes icons that represent fuel efficiency, road handling, noise control and other characteristics. "The sidewall icons act as silent salesmen, communicating the tire's benefits to customers," says Joshua Simpson, Hercules vice president of marketing.
The tire will be launched in phases beginning on the West Coast at Hercules' Tire Dealers Warehouse locations, as well as with all Hercules private brand customers in the United States and Canada.
