Michelin rolls out loader tire

Jan. 27, 2009

Michelin North America Inc.'s new Michelin XHA2 loader tire is designed for loaders in quarries and on construction sites. It will be available as a replacement tire in May 2009.

The XHA2 lasts up to 9% longer than its predecessor, the Michelin XHA. Features include extra rubber in its tread for additional damage resistance, protective sidewall ribs, and a patented tread design to reduce vibrations and optimize traction, according to Michelin officials.

The tire also features a new casing "that further enhances its value. This robust underlying structure makes the tire easier to retread."

The XHA2 will be available in four replacement sizes: 26.525 (available in May); 23.5R25 (available in July); and 29.5R25 and 20.5R25 (available in 2010). The tire will be available in the original equipment channel next year, add Michelin officials.
