Help is available for hosting Car Care Month events

Dec. 14, 2006

The Car Care Council is offering a DVD/CD entitled "How to Host a Vehicle Check-up Event" for use during National Car Care Month next April.

It walks viewers through the entire process of hosting an event, plus includes resource materials such as sample press releases to educate consumers, a guide to hosting successful car care clinics, camera-ready advertisements and radio spots.

The council also advises tire dealers to talk it up to different individuals and groups that might be willing to come on board to partner with them on car care events. "Banks, churches, senior citizen groups are all logical partners. Scouting organizations, civic clubs, high school or tech schools and local media outlets also are obvious choices," the council says.
