Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has opened a Latin sales office at its facility in Miami, Fla.
Hercules has named Luis Torres managing director for its Latin American expansion.
"The Miami office and warehouse facility is strategically located to service our growing customer base in Central and South America," says Torres.
"Rocky" McDonough and Tony Lugioyo will continue to support Hercules' export sales initiatives in the region.
McDonough and Lugioyo came to Hercules earlier this year when the Findlay, Ohio-based private brand marketer acquired Tire Distributors Inc. U.S.A., a wholesaler headquartered near Miami.
"We targeted the Southeast due to significant opportunities for growth in the local market, as well as the solid operating platform it provides in to expand our sales and distribution capabilities in Latin America," says Hercules CEO and President Larry Seawell.
