This year's Keep American Beautiful campaign collected more than 2.5 million scrap tires
The program took place from March through May.
Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc., along with its BFS Retail & Commercial Operations LLC unit, participated in the clean-up.
Twenty-one percent more scrap tires were collected via the campaign during 2006 than 2005, according to Keep America Beautiful officials.
