Monro Muffler Brake Inc. has promoted John Van Heel to president. He most recently served as Monro's executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
In his new position, Van Heel will lead Monro's acquisition efforts and work on the chain's growth plans for its existing stores.
Monro is the fourth largest independent tire retail chain in the United States with more than 115 tire stores, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
Van Heel joined Monro five years ago. "He has been closely involved in executing our acquisition strategy and integrating our recent additions to our business," says Monro Chairman and CEO Robert Gross.
