Burggraf Tire shares pricing through video e-mail

Sept. 25, 2006

Quapaw, Okla.-based Burggraf Tire is experimenting with a new method of sharing prices with customers: video e-mail.

The dealership has only been offering the service for two weeks, but customer feedback has been great, says Ron Thrasher, Burggraf Tire executive vice president and COO.

"We sit down in front of a computer (with a Web cam) and we let (customers) know our special of the week," complete with video footage of the tire or tires on sale.

The footage is then e-mailed to customers. The e-mails link back to www.burggraftire.com.

More than 250 people already have registered to receive pricing e-mails from Burggraf Tire, says Thrasher.

In other Burggraf Tire news, the company held an open house at its Baxter Springs, Kan., warehouse this past weekend. Some 130 people attended.

Jack Winterton, vice president and general manager, channel sales, for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s North American Tire unit and Phil Caris, vice president of sales and marketing for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., among other supplier representatives, spoke at the event.
