Hennessy Industries launches Hennessy University

Sept. 13, 2006

Hennessy Industries Inc. has added a free Web-based training module for Coats wheel service and equipment. The module is called "Hennessy University."

"With this service, our customers can learn the proper way to use our products and accessories at their own pace," says Kevin Keefe, director of marketing. "They can become certified technicians of Hennessy products within minutes of logging on."

The evolution of run flat designs, coupled with the traditionally high turnover in the tire industry, was the impetus for Hennessy's expanded tire service training.

By logging onto www.ammcoats.com, Hennessy customers can simply register for a username and password and begin learning the most up-to-date information ranging from balancing modes to the Coats XR1800 ride management system.

Technicians can study each training module, test themselves after each course, track their progress and print their certificates. The program also has on-line note-taking capabilities so the technician can track information during the course study and use the notes while taking his or her test.

The next module is scheduled to cover tire mounting and demounting. A new module will be released for each new product launch in the future.

The newly redesigned Hennessy Web site also has been enhanced in other ways. It has added the following:

* an on-line applications database for tire and wheel service. Based on the make and model of any car, the Web site can provide bolt circle patterns and hub diameter along with proper balancing adapters, wheel weight style, brake lathe adapters, and a diagram denoting lift points.

* a comprehensive literature download center, including operator manuals.

* information on how to locate your local sales and service contacts.

Hennessy Industries manufactures Coats, Ammco and Bada wheel service equipment.
