Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. is expanding its steel cord plant in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
The expansion will be the result of a $36 million joint investment by Michelin and the Province of Nova Scotia.
It addresses "growing demand for steel cable, which is used in the production of earthmover and truck tires," say Michelin officials.
The expansion is due to be completed in 2008.
