Titan International Inc.'s second quarter net income was $5.6 million, 33% higher than its net income for the same period in 2005.

Titan's basic earnings per share during 2Q 2006 were $.28 versus $.25 during 2Q 2005.

"Titan achieved another positive quarter," says Titan Chairman and CEO Maurice Taylor Jr., "even with facing the strong head wind of an estimated 5% decrease in U.S. agricultural equipment demand and ever-higher raw material costs, especially in petroleum-based products."
