Continental Tire North America Inc.'s ContiProContact has been selected as original equipment for Dodge’s police-pursuit vehicles, the 2006 Dodge Charger and Magnum.
Selected by Dodge in size P225/60R18 (99V), the Continental ContiProContact is an all-season performance tire that provides dry traction and wet-braking as well as performance during aggressive handling maneuvers -- the kind that police officers are trained to perform, the company says.
Continental also offers the ContiWinterContact TS790V in a 225/60R18 (103V) for winter driving.
In addition, the ContiProContact has 13 approved OE fitments on vehicles such as Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes and Volkswagen. The ContiProContact is available in 35 sizes, some of which feature a Self Supporting Runflat safety feature. The complete lineup offers 15 18-inch rim diameters.
The Continental ContiWinterContact TS790V is available in 16 18-inch rim diameters and has original equipment applications on Audi, Mercedes and Volkswagen.
