Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp., in conjunction with the upcoming release of "The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift" movie, is sponsoring the Gettin' Sideways Sweepstakes. ("Toyo is official tire of upcoming drift movie," May 1, 2006).
Universal Pictures' second sequel to "The Fast and The Furious" focuses on Japanese drift racing. Toyo tires once again will be featured in the series, with fitments on many of the vehicles featured in the film.
In celebration of Toyo's involvement with the film, which will be released July 16, the company is holding the national Gettin' Sideways Sweepstakes. The grand prize will be a red Mitsubishi Evo 9 -- styled after one of the cars featured in the film -- shod with Toyo Proxes 4 ultra-high performance tires.
The second place winner will lay claim to a one-off, movie-themed Toyo tires Les Paul guitar made by Gibson.
During the sweepstakes promotion, which lasts from May 1 through July 31, 2006, purchasers of any four Toyo tires will receive an assortment of Meguiar's NXT Car Care Products.
