Contrary to reports published elsewhere, Denman Tire Corp. owner Pensler Capital Corp. is still in the running to buy Continental Tire North America Inc.'s (CTNA) OTR tire plant in Bryan, Ohio, CTNA Senior Counsel Rick Holcomb told moderntiredealer.com today.
"We are still negotiating with Pensler," says Holcomb. "We are evaluating a proposal they sent to us."
CTNA also is evaluating a proposal from Titan International Inc. regarding sale of the plant.
"The exclusivity period we had with Pensler due to (its) letter of intent had expired," says Holcomb.
