Hankook Tire is supplying ultra-high performance tires for the latest generation of the Volkswagen Golf.
Hankook has earmarked 400,000 units for the Golf and also will provide 100,000 tires a year for the Volkswagen Bora, a notchback sedan version of the Golf.
"Products to be supplied to Volkswagen are a UHP tire, the Ventus Prime K105 (size 205/55R16), and the Optimo K406 (size 195/65R15), a passenger tire designed for the European market," say Hankook officials.
Hankook joins Bridgestone Corp., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and Groupe Michelin as VW Golf tire suppliers.
