Stay in CSA compliance with Super MUTT

Sept. 26, 2012

Innovative Products of America (IPA) Inc. announces the release of its most advanced trailer tester to date, the remote-controlled Super MUTT Deluxe (P/N 9008) for lights and air brakes.

Aimed at eliminating the most common Compliance, Safety and Accountability (CSA) roadside violations, the Super MUTT Deluxe improves inspection accuracy. The CSA is the Federal government's initiative for improving large truck and bus safety.

Super MUTT guides technicians through 91 critical points of inspection and places a load on the trailer’s electrical circuits to identify wiring problems, often missed during routine inspections.

According to statistics released by the U.S. Department of Transportation, approximately half of mechanical roadside inspection violations in 2011 were due to faulty lighting, air brakes and improperly addressed ABS fault codes. IPA says many of these violations could have been avoided through the use of the Super MUTT.

The MUTT addresses three critical areas of trailer inspection: light testing, ABS and air brakes. The diagnostic program instantly identifies shorted, crossed and open circuits, differentiates between poor wire and chassis grounds, and provides amperage display, audio feedback, automatic, manual and remote control operation.

The Super MUTT® Deluxe model is available in either the 9008-SE (Standard Equipment Package) or 9008-DL (Deluxe Equipment Package).  Visit www.ipatools.com/9008.html or call (888) 786-7899 for more information.
