Latest Acquisition Gives Telle Tire 18 Stores

April 12, 2021
Telle Tire & Auto Service Inc. is acquiring JBC Tire Complete Auto Care, and with the deal the St. Louis-Mo. based tire dealership is growing into another new Missouri market.

Telle Tire will acquire the full assets of JBC Tire Complete Auto Care and will continue to operate two of its three stores in Springfield, Mo. Telle Tire CEO and President Aaron Telle says those two stores will transition to the Telle Tire brand. The third location, on Sunshine Street, will close.

"With the thriving and growing community that Springfield has to offer, it is a great location to expand the Telle Tire footprint," Telle says.

Marco Gonzalez, president of operations for Telle Tire's Kansas City region will oversee the Springfield stores. Gonzalez has been promoted to president of Telle Tire's Southwest Missouri operations.

The acquisition and move into Springfield comes as Telle Tire has completed the $300,000 renovation of the store it acquired in September 2020, a former J&W Automotive location in St. Louis. The renovation "will serve as a new prototype of their future stores."

The addition of JBC Tire Complete Auto Care gives Telle Tire 18 locations, and Telle says the company "will continue to be active in the acquisition space in 2021 as it continues to build its footprint and is greatly focused on investing in additional locations in the Kansas City market in 2021." Telle Tire moved into Kansas City in March 2020 when it completed the biggest acquisition in its history, the five-store purchase of KC Complete Auto Service. Those stores are the only ones to not rebrand to the Telle Tire name.
