New England Tire & Service Association Gears Up for Show

The New England Tire & Service Association (NETSA) is gearing up for its 2021 annual convention and trade show, which will take place Aug. 27-28 at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Conn.

The event's exhibit hall will open at 4 p.m. on Aug. 27 and will feature tire and wheel manufacturers, auto parts and tire service equipment suppliers, health and commercial insurance providers and more.

Aug. 28 will feature a full slate of seminars.

From 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., Ken Neil, tech training manager, CarQuest, will provide an overview of vehicle start and stop technologies, including common components and best service practices.

From 9:10 a.m. to 10:10 a.m., Jim Krakower, president of JMK Computerized, will discuss customer retention and why dealers should prepare now for the next 10 years of "radical changes" in consumer marketing. Krakower also will discuss cutting-edge techniques dealers can use to gain a marketing advantage and other topics.

From 10:20 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Ken Neil will return to discuss current auto service technology, plus knowledge that technicians will need in order to achieve future success.

And from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Anthony Babine, sales director, northeast, Dill Air Control Products, will discuss the importance of replacing TPMS service packs and stems and how to uncover hidden profitability opportunities in TPMS service.

In addition, NETSA will hold an auction to raise money for its annual scholarship programs.

Dinners and luncheons also will be served during the event. This year's keynote speaker, Nancy "The Telephone Doctor" Friedman, will present during lunch.

And NETSA will induct three new members into its hall of fame.
