Paolo Ferrari, president and CEO of Bridgestone Americas Inc., is taking on more responsibility as one of two new joint global COOs of parent company Bridgestone Corp.
"Two global joint COOs will be appointed as global business management's focus on execution and delivering results with an aggressive approach and 'challenge' spirit," says Bridgestone Global CEO Shu Ishibashi.
Masahiro Higashi, who is currently responsible for Bridgestone's global mining and aircraft tire businesses, will be the other joint COO.
Both Higashi and Ferrari will officially assume their new titles and duties on May 1.
