Bridgestone/Firestone Off Road Tire Co. (BFOR), a division of Bridgestone/Firestone North America Tire LLC, has been named Manufacturer of the Year by Peter Kiewit Sons' Inc., one of North America's largest construction and mining companies.
The tiremaker was chosen from the 400 companies doing business with Kiewit. The award recognizes manufacturers and dealers who did the best job of contributing to Kiewit's overall business improvement. The company has been using Bridgestone/Firestone tires for the last six years.
Kiewit was founded in Omaha in 1884 and had revenues of approximately $3.9 billion in 2001.
