Hunter Adds Twin-Steer Alignment to WinAlign HD System

April 4, 2016

Hunter Engineering Co.’s WinAlign HD system is now capable of measuring and aligning twin-steer vehicles.

The updated version of WinAlign HD includes two sensors on the reference (rear) axle and two sensors on each steering axle to ensure that they are timed to turn at the exact same rate while simultaneously ensuring parallelism.

The company says six-sensor technology makes this the only system in the world that maintains its reference through the entire procedure, eliminating sources of error that previously existed while also increasing speed and efficiency.

The new WinAlig HD with twin-steer measurement capabilities saves the technician time and effort on every heavy-duty alignment, according to Hunter.

WinAlign software version 14.4 includes on-board training to guide the technician through the alignment process and Hunter’s exclusive Quick Comp rolling compensation saves time by eliminating the need to jack each axle.
