Falken’s Rick Brennan Is Promoted to Vice President of Marketing

Newly formed Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc., which was known as Falken Tire Corp. until Jan. 1, has promoted Rick Brennan to vice president of marketing.

Brennan was formerly executive director of marketing for Falken Tire. His appointment is effective immediately.

In his new role, Brennan will continue to lead the marketing direction for the U.S., Canada, Caribbean and Mexico for the Falken brand.

“Rick brings a wealth of experience to our executive management team,” says Richard Smallwood, CEO and President of Sumitomo Rubber North America.

“As we expand and strengthen the Falken brand in North America, the knowledge and leadership his experience provides is indeed an asset.”

Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc. (SRNA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.

SRNA is realigning the Falken business units as part of a long-term strategy to strengthen its competitive position in North America. The changes were prompted by the end of an alliance between Sumitomo Rubber Industries, the parent company of the former Falken Tire Corp., and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
