SEMA, AFTERMATH: ASA unveils TreadX

Nov. 8, 2004

ASA Tire Systems introduced its TreadX software solution at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

"We basically have re-written our entire flagship product," says Dave Duchesne, ASA´s director of sales and marketing.

TreadX is designed for independent tire dealers. It replaces ASA´s TireMax and TirePro software systems, although ASA will continue to support and enhance both for existing customers. Duchesne says users will receive a "significant allowance" if they switch to the new program.

"Pricing on this is the same as the pricing on our other software," he adds.

The system includes POS, inventory and accounting functions, plus third-party interfacing with manufacturers. It also features the following:

* the ability to keep track of multiple orders on one screen.

* good-better-best price quoting.

* signature capture at the point of sale.

* instant access to tire images, specifications and sales tips.

* e-mail invoicing.

* completely integrated accounting.

"We worked with dealers across the nation to develop a graphical product that was intuitive, a system that doesn´t just record information and print invoices, but gives them the tools to actually increase sales and profitability at the point of sale," says Wayne Croswell, ASA´s president.
