Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is implementing rationalization programs in its Engineered Products and Chemical businesses.
Goodyear plans to slash about 240 Engineered Products jobs by the end of the third quarter of 2005 and will record a charge of $23.5 million to $27.5 million as a result of the action.
The company plans to cut about 100 Chemical positions by the end of 2004 and expects to record a charge of $5.5 million to $6 million as a result.
