Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.´s new Hydro-Paddle technology, designed for its Dunlop brand, "literally shoots water laterally from under car tires," according to Goodyear officials.
The technology is currently part of the Dunlop SP Sport 01 ultra-high performance line, but also will be built into other Goodyear-made tires, they say.
"The curvature of the Hydro-Paddles propels water from beneath the tire through outer drainage grooves. The expelled water is non-turbulent, however, to ensure a quiet ride on wet or dry roads."
