Bridgestone/Firestone announces new program for commercial tire dealers

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC is introducing a new program for commercial tire dealers designed to "help them plan how to target future sales."

Called Fleet Sales Potential Analysis (FSPA), the computerized program features profile cards for dealers. It is designed to:

* display fleets by their power unit configurations.

* display the makeup of every trailer configuration in the fleet.

* calculate new tires and the number of retreads used by each fleet.

FSPA will be taught through on-site classroom sessions or through the Internet using streaming video, according to the company.

Bridgestone/Firestone also plans to offer additional training programs via the Internet throughout the year.
