Fountain Valley, Calif.-based Equus Products Inc. has achieved ISO 9001: 2000 certification for its "quality management system governing the distribution of measuring and testing devices for the automotive aftermarket," the company reports.

Achieving the ISO 9001: 2000 level of certification requires Equus Products to conform to a quality management system, demonstrate its ability to consistently deliver products that meet customer and regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through continual systems improvement.

"Since our company was founded, we have always strived to meet the needs of our customers by delivering the highest quality products," said Ieon C. Chen, Equus Products' CEO. "This certification confirms what our longtime customers, vendors and employees have known for years, and validates our place as a high-quality international organization. As we look toward the future, this certification will allow us the opportunity to work with even more organizations to meet market demands."

Equus Products manufactures and distributes test equipment, gauges and tachometers for the automotive aftermarket. It was founded in 1982 and markets and distributes its line under the Equus brand.

In 1990, the company bought Innova Electronics Corp. Products under this division carry the Innova brand, which are developed under ISO 9001 standards for which Innova was certified in 2001.
