Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has nominated John Fiedler to become a member of the company's Board of Directors. If voted in at the company's annual shareholder's meeting on May 7, he will join the board for three years.
Fiedler, chairman and CEO of BorgWarner Inc., spent 29 years with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. prior to joining BorgWarner as president in 1994. He left Goodyear as executive vice president of North American tires under the watch of Chairman and CEO Stanley Gault.
"John's background and knowledge in both the tire industry and the original equipment automotive industry are very solid," says Cooper Chairman, CEO and President Tom Dattilo.
Fiedler also is a director of Dal-Tile International Inc. and Roadway Express Inc.
