TIA is looking for a few good men -- or women

March 19, 2004

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for positions on its board of directors for 2004-2005 and for the position of secretary.

There are 10 three-year board positions open and three one-year slots available, the association reports.

"Any member in good standing or an official representative of a state tire dealer association may recommend another member in good standing," said Larry Morgan, president of TIA. "Self-nominations are also welcome."

To be eligible for the position of secretary, an individual must have served on the TIA board of directors for two consecutive years at the time of election.

All nominations should be submitted by April 16, 2004, by completing and returning the TIA board of directors nomination form to TIA headquarters in Bowie, Md. The nomination form can be found on TIA's Web site, www.tireindustry.org.

"TIA has updated the nomination process," said Roy Littlefield, executive vice president. "The form may be filled in and submitted electronically with the push of a button. You will receive an instant confirmation of your submission."

If you do not have access to the Internet, call TIA at (800) 876-8372 or (301) 430-7280 and request a board nomination form.
