Longtime Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. executive Bill Tierney has died at the age of 82.
Tierney worked as a Firestone sales manager for more than 40 years.
A native of Worchester, Mass., he also served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Preceded in death by his son, Patrick, Tierney is survived by his wife, Audrey; daughter Lori (Jerry) Fischer; two sisters; a brother; and two grandsons.
