March 21, 2002

Marangoni Tread North America (MTNA) Inc. will move its corporate headquarters from Walnut Creek, Calif., to Nashville, Tenn., next month while Bill Sweatman replaces Jack Woodland as MTNA president and CEO.

MTNA's new headquarters, located at Pirelli Armstrong's old facility, will include a warehouse and a retread materials manufacturing facility.

Woodland will assume the position of MTNA chairman and will remain in Walnut Creek.

MTNA added three retreaders to its 10-company RINGTREAD network during the past year, including Atlanta, Ga.-based Hill Tire Co., Bergey's Tire Service in Franconia, Pa., and Little Rock, Ark.-based Looney's Tire Service.

More are expected to sign during 2002.
