New Goss Tire store is 'doing great'

Dec. 7, 2005

Goss Tire's nine-month-old retail store in Williston, Vt., is exceeding owner Terry Sheahan's expectations. "It's been a lot of work, but it's exciting," he says.

The 7,100-square-foot store contains six service bays and also doubles as Goss Tire's corporate headquarters. (Goss Tire has seven outlets in total.)

Sheahan reports that the new shop has allowed Goss Tire to achieve a 50/50 ratio of tire sales to automotive service, a company goal for the last six or seven years.

"Tires are so seasonal. Having that service component smoothes that out."

Goss Tire "pretty much offers everything" when it comes to car repair, with the exception of heavy engine and transmission work, says Sheahan.
