Feb. 28, 2002

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. continued the global reorganization of its sales and marketing

organizations by bringing in Sanjay Sivanandan as marketing director for its Asian subsidiary.

Sivanandan, who has 12 years of experience in consumer product purchasing, sales and marketing in Europe and Asia, reports to Hugh Pace, president, Goodyear Asia, and Cathryn Fischer, Goodyear's vice president and chief marketing officer.

"Sanjay brings with him a strong multi-cultural background and a unique understanding of consumer marketing in the region," said Pace.

"Sanjay has demonstrated his ability to create a winning market strategy utilizing strong consumer brands," said Fischer.

Sivanandan joined Goodyear from Mars Inc., where he was the market development director for its operations in India. He was responsible for developing the company's confectionery, snack food and pet care businesses on the Indian subcontinent.

In another move, Pace announced the promotion of Roger Hagstrom to sales director, Asia Region.

"Because of the diverse domestic and international operating positions Roger has held with Goodyear, and his experience in the Asia Region, he is ideally suited to lead our business in achieving its sales growth

objectives," said Pace.
