Hadera, Israel-based Alliance Tire Co. has opened a new warehouse in Springfield, Ill., that will hold inventory for its North American customers.
The new facility will ensure "that we can put Alliance tires on equipment at short notice," says Manjri Shah, manager of Alliance's Denville, N.J.-based subsidiary, Alliance Tire USA.
"Many customers, especially original equipment manufacturers, have been eager to see a warehouse to ensure a quick way to fill surprise needs."
Shah says Alliance chose Springfield due to its central location and easy access to interstates.
"Alliance's customers will continue working through their normal supply channels to fill container loads. The warehouse is for emergency needs only."
