Bandag Inc. is introducing its BDV (Bandag Drive Urban) tread to the North American market.
"Used extensively in South America and Asia, this tread product is designed specifically for drive positions on buses and all wheel positions on pickup and delivery vehicles where irregular wear from corners and curbs presents a maintenance challenge," say Bandag officials.
The BDV tread offers a deep 22/32-inch tread depth, "which reduces maintenance expenses for fleet managers."
It will replace Bandag's Omnibus design, which is being phased out next year.
