Tan named v.p. of marketing for Goodyear's Asia/Pacific region

Maurice Tan has been named Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s vice president, marketing for its Asia/Pacific Region headquartered in Shanghai, China.

"We are pleased to have Maurice take on a strategic role to further Goodyear’s presence in this region," said Pierre Cohade, president of Goodyear’s Asia/Pacific region. "He brings a wealth of experience in retail marketing of consumer products for Nokia, PepsiCo and Mars that will prove extremely valuable for Goodyear."

In his role with Goodyear, Tan’s responsibilities will include building strong Goodyear brand awareness throughout Asia/Pacific, developing the Goodyear retail network, and fueling market share gains by accelerating the launch of innovative products and services, the company says.

Tan joins Goodyear from Nokia, where he was vice president of marketing for the Global Entry Business Line.
